Mobile Ignition Interlock Installation in Florida: We Come to You

The Install Bay That Comes to You
Mobile ignition interlock installation means exactly what it sounds like: instead of you driving to a service center, a certified Florida IID technician drives to you - your driveway, your workplace parking lot, or the impound yard where your car is waiting. The device is the same state-approved unit we install in our shops, the certificate of installation is the same, and the reporting to the FLHSMV is identical. The only difference is whose vehicle does the traveling.
Everything about the service, including coverage areas and how to request a visit, lives on our mobile installation page.
Why Mobile Exists: The Suspended-License Catch-22
Here is the problem nobody warns you about. Your license is suspended until an ignition interlock is installed - but the interlock gets installed at a shop you are not legally allowed to drive to. Some drivers borrow a designated driver for the day and lose hours of someone else's time. Some risk the drive and turn one legal problem into two.
Mobile installation removes the dilemma entirely. The device comes to the car, the car never moves without it, and the first time you drive, you are already street-legal. If your vehicle is sitting in an impound or tow yard, the same logic applies: we install on site, so the car leaves the yard compliant instead of needing a tow home first.
How to Schedule a Mobile Install
One call does it: (833) 356-7443, in English or Spanish. Tell us where the vehicle is parked and which days work. A specialist confirms mobile availability at your address, your vehicle's year and make, and the documents to have ready - court order, photo ID, registration, and any DHSMV paperwork.
Prefer typing to talking? Send the mobile installation request form and we call you back to confirm the details.
What Happens on Installation Day
You get a text when your technician sets off and another as they get close, with a live arrival estimate - no wondering whether to wait by the window. The installation itself takes about an hour: the technician wires the device, tests it, then walks you through the startup test, the rolling retest, and the habits that keep your record clean. You sign, you get your certificate of installation, and your car starts with you behind the wheel - legally.
We wrote a minute-by-minute version of this in what to expect at a mobile installation appointment.
Does Mobile Cost More?
Whatever you choose - a service center visit or a mobile install - your quote is put in writing before you commit, and it covers the whole visit: the installation, the walkthrough, and the paperwork. Tell our sales team you want mobile service and the number you get is the number you pay. No teaser rates, no surprises at the curb. Talk to sales for your written quote.
After the Install: Calibration Every 30 Days
Florida requires a calibration and data download every 30 days, and those visits are short - usually 15 to 20 minutes. Most mobile customers handle calibrations at the nearest service center once they are legally driving again, and mobile calibration can be arranged in many areas if getting to a center stays difficult. Either way, the 30-day rhythm is the single most important habit of your program: our calibration guide covers how to never miss one.
